Been hearing a lot about Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold lately. He has some good chops. It sounds like he listened to a lot of Iron Maiden and Randy Rhodes cause his playing reminds me a little of both. Not sure about the band yet as nothing I´ve heard so far has knocked my socks off but I´ll be listening to more of their stuff.
Yeah. Both of the guitar players in that band are cool. I have a couple discs. I listen to their stuff all the time. Those guys are part of the latest crew of guitar players in bands who can really play well. Plus they write catchy songs. Good stuff.
Loved the City of Evil album they released it was beyond cool, some of the playing by Sinister on that record is stunning. His dad was a big jazz musician and he personally studied at MI. He´s a pretty accomplished guitar player.
