Michael Lee Firkins has a self-titled album from the late 80´s that was really great. He was a great player and very different from the rest of the shredders of the time period as he was a electric shredder who did not use a pick. He also had great tremolo technique. This was the CD cover:





I still listen to Rain in the Tunnel which is one of the tunes he plays on this album. (This was the only video I could find of the studio version of this song)





This was another song I really liked its called 24 Grand Ave.

So I was looking on myspace and I found Michael Lee Firkins. There is no mention of his earlier work. Seems as though he is rebranding. The new music is good it seems. Weird to see him without the long hair.
